Certified quality

Treating our student interns fair has always been a matter of course for us as a family-run group of companies. The certification as a Fair Company officially confirms this since April 2018.

What does this mean for you as an intern? Instead of making coffee and photocopies, you can expect an authentic insight into the everyday work of your department - including your own tasks with clear objectives. As part of our team, you will take on responsibility right from the start. At the same time, a permanent contact person will be available to you at all times to offer advice and support - both on the personnel side and from the specialist department. To enable you to expand your personal skills, you will receive regular individual feedback on your work. New ideas and suggestions are valued and actively encouraged in our diverse teams. We reward your commitment with appropriate remuneration, based on the BAföG maximum rate. On top of that, there is a rent subsidy if required. For us, being fair means not only acting sustainably and with a sense of social responsibility, but also acting honestly and transparently. If we can't offer you a meaningful internship, we communicate this openly - and don't just shove you somewhere in between, because that doesn't help you or us move forward. Speaking of progress: To ensure that we maintain and further develop our high standards, we regularly have ourselves audited by the Fair Company Initiative in the form of surveys.

The figures speak for themselves:

  • 100% of students were allowed to complete tasks independently
  • More than 80% of the students received regular structured feedback on their work
  • Almost 100% of the students stated that they were able to maintain an appropriate work-life balance during their internships
  • 100% of the students had the opportunity to participate in the group's training programmes
  • 100% of the students would recommend an internship with the MERKUR GROUP to others
