INTERN PROJECTS, EVENTS AND SPONSORSHIPS

Intern projects

Thinking outside the box, contributing own ideas and growing with new challenges. In various projects, workshops and further training courses, we offer students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge horizon from a practical perspective. During the semester they work in small groups on issues of topical relevance and subsequently present the results in the company. In collaboration with various higher education partners, these are just some of the projects we have brought to a successful conclusion:

  • FHM (University of Applied Sciences for Medium-Sized Enterprises) Hannover: Use of new media for advertising our casinos in Saxony-Anhalt
  • Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences: Recruitment of IT staff
  • OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts: Determining the purchase price of a blackjack table
  • Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences: Concept development to increase brand awareness at regional colleges & universities
  • TH OWL: Integration of the earned value method in strategic projects

Sponsoring

Music for the ears and information for the brain. At the Campus Festival Minden, we were represented with our own stand and in addition to a foosball table and giant dartboard also brought along plenty of information. In an informal atmosphere, students were able to talk to our HR staff about career opportunities at the MERKUR GROUP – and take home valuable tips for planning their future. We also sponsor a number of other events. For example federal student representative conferences, graduation parties, foosball tournaments and beginning-of-semester activities such as first-year student goody bags – with give-aways, banners or cash donations, depending on requirements.

Events

Hands-on practice instead of dull theory – in a series of workshops dealing with a variety of topics, we bring everyday working life into the lecture hall. Qualified trainers from our own training centre bridge the gap between model and reality – and give students the opportunity to gain valuable experience for their career start.
